2012 Oscar Nominations

While there seems to be a very large discrepancy between Best Picture nominees and Director nominees (Nothing for Affleck, Bigelow, Hooper, and Tarantino even though their films got a combined total of 25 nominations???), and a few other notable snubs (no Leonardo DiCaprio or Samuel L Jackson nomination for Django, only 1 nomination for The Avengers (visual effects), and zero nominations for Bernie, Dark Knight Rises), I am pleased with others- Waltz for Django, 7 noms for Argo, 5 for Skyfall-though nothing major.
