While I can't wait for this film, I have my doubts that we're going to see it next May.
I mean, it hasn't even begun filming yet and we all know that Lucas likes to take post-production time to make the film perfect.
I hope that it happens, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet, no matter how official this may be.
Remember, though, that it isn't Lucas in the director's chair. As a producer, he can have final say on the script, but the final cut will be Spielberg's.
The interview with David Koepp at the same site is pretty encouraging. I'm not entirely comfortable with the idea of this film either, but if they can give it a respectful, Rocky Balboa-esque treatment (which seems to be the tone that Koepp is aiming for) it should turn out Ok.
